Reading Workshop We are starting our first book of the year, Touching Spirit Bear This week we are building background knowledge, talking about the author and the setting.

Homework * Reading Minutes 100 due Wednesday 9/23 with parent signature. * Current Events, Is Texting 2 Much Bad 4 U? Code it with the hand and answer and questions using the QAR see blog for more info on QAR under the homework tab

Writing Workshop * This week we will be doing our 1st writing assessment the prompt is Most people have a morning routine that includes brushing teeth, getting dressed, going to school or work. Describe what you do to get ready for school in the morning.

History * We will be Archeologists * We will read an article on the Modern Man and learn how to do the recipicol reading process. *We will learn how to identify text structures while reading about the first humans. *We will watch a brainpop about hunters and gathers and use clickers to respond.
